The Danish Society for Nature Conservation

The Danish Society for Nature Conservation (Danmarks Naturfredningsforening) is the largest nature conservation and environmental organisation in Denmark. With the support of more than 135,000 members it works to protect nature and the environment. Its 95 branches and 2,000 active members represent the eyes and ears at local and regional levels.

The Danish Society for Nature Conservation co-operates with several environmental organisations from around Europe. The main partner at the European level is the European Environmental Bureau (EEB). EEB is a federation of over 140 environmental citizens organisations based in most EU Member States and a few countries from outside the EU. The aim of the EEB is to protect and improve the environment of Europe and to enable the citizens of Europe to play their part.
